Kutná Hora by Train – UNESCO Heritage & Medieval Silver Town
Kutná Hora, once one of the wealthiest cities in the world thanks to its rich silver deposits, is now a UNESCO-listed town and one of the most stunning historical sites in the Czech Republic. Its well-preserved medieval streets and breathtaking Gothic architecture take you back to the 14th century. The town also plays a key role in the video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which brings its medieval past to life with remarkable accuracy.
During our private tour, we will visit the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John the Baptist and the famous Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Chapel), adorned with the remains of over 40,000 people. We will then head to the heart of Kutná Hora to explore the magnificent St. Barbara's Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece and one of the most important churches in Central Europe. Afterward, you'll have the option to enjoy a traditional Czech lunch in a local tavern or relax with coffee in a cozy café.
Following the break, we will continue our walking tour through the historical center, visiting the Italian Court, once the royal mint, and the Church of St. James.
For those who book in advance, there is also the unique opportunity to descend into a real medieval silver mine – a truly adventurous experience!
